Davina Big Ride report

T’was a bright and sunny Sunday morning in Brighton and Lewes for the Davina big ride. A 20, 40 or 68 mile ride starting from the Golf centre just outside Uckfield. Myself, Helen and Helen’s friend had opted for the 40 mile route, on the grounds that Pete said the extra bit was lumpy.
The ride was organised in aid of Action for medical research and was mainly for us ladies although men were not banned. Once at the start the clouds had come over and it was a little chilly although not raining. Bumped into Sheena and her friend who had opted for the longer route. The ride was very pleasant not hilly and the road surfaces were pretty good on the whole. I have nothing really to report as the ride was fairly uneventful. I got overtaken by Davina so gave chase and overtook her before reverting to my normal (slower) pace. Caught up with Davina at the feed station as well as Sheena. Davina took a selfie as shown below.
